Blackpool Flood Prevention Work To Commence As Stormy Weather Set To Continue
Residents in the floodprone Blackpool village are bracing themselves this weekend as stormy conditions look set to continue. Further heavy rain and high winds are forecast, which, accompanied by very high tides, are likely to cause more damage. There is some relief for residents and members of the Blackpool flood committee as the city manager last night said that flood prevention work in the area will begin on Monday.
