The plans for the Blackpool Flood Relief Scheme went on public exhibition today.
Almost 300 properties in the Blackpool area are expected to benefit from the new planned Blackpool Flood Relief Scheme which went on public exhibition today.
Construction on the €15 million flood relief scheme is due to get underway in the second half of 2016 following public consultation.
It was developed as part of the brief for the Lower Lee Flood Relief Scheme which will be the largest of its kind undertaken in the history of the state.
Homeowners and businesses in the area have until December 2nd to make their views known when the public exhibition of the scheme will close.
Speaking to RedFM News Minister of State Simon Harris says he's eager for the scheme to advance as the people of Blackpool need this level of protection as soon as possible.
