Body Recovered After Car Goes Off Cliff In Kinsale
A body has been recovered after a car went over a cliff at the Old Head of Kinsale.
The alarm was raised at around 7.30pm yesterday evening and the Valentia Marine Rescue Sub Centre responded.
The body of a man in his 60s was recovered at around 3.20am this morning.
Lifeboats from Kinsale and Courtmacsherry, the Rescue 117 helicopter from Waterford and the Old Head of Kinsale coast guard were all involved in the search operation.
It's understood that search and rescue teams were unable to access the car until low tide which was at 2.30am this morning.
