Boy (4) dies after sustaining significant head injury at a house in Limerick last weekend

Gardai are investigating all the circumstances around the death of a four-year old boy who sustained a significant head injury, at a house in Limerick last weekend.

Gardai confirmed the boy died today from his injuries at Children’s Hospital Ireland, at Temple Street.

Gardai said they are maintaining an open mind in their inquiries. 

The results of a post mortem examination on the boy's body will determine the course of their investigation.
