Broad welcome Leeside for government investment plan

The capital spending plan was unveiled today.
There has been a broad welcome Leeside for the government's 27 billion euro capital spending plan, which it says will create 45,000 construction jobs.
Six billion euro is being spent on road projects nationally with some of that funding earmarked for the Cork to Ringaskiddy road upgrade, the Macroom by-pass, the Mallow Relief Road and the Dunkettle interchange.
It will also see funding for flooding defences in the city and a planning application is set to be lodged in a bid to move along the Port of Cork expansion.
Speaking to RedFM News, Regional Director of the Construction Industry Federation Conor O'Connell outlines some of the benefits the plans have for the region.
