Bus strike in Cork affects thousands of commuters
More than 300 drivers have taken to the picket line in Cork.
Thousands of bus commuters in Cork have had to make alternative travel arrangements today as more than 300 drivers take to the picket line.
Bus Eireann is accusing SIPTU and the NBRU of having a "cavalier" attitude to the lives of passengers - and is urging them to come back to the talks table.
The row at Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus centre on the privatisation of bus routes.
Both companies will take High Court action today against the unions in a bid to recoup some of the combined 20 million euro lost as a result of today's strike.
These drivers on the picket line outside Capwell Bus Depot say they have real fears over the future of their jobs.
