Business Tourism Worth €12m To Cork in 2017
Business tourism is expected to be worth €12 million to the local economy this year and it's hoped the arrival of transatlantic flights this Summer will provide an added boost to the industry.
It's emerged that 20 conferences have already been secured Leeside for the year ahead.
Cork Convention Bureau and Fáilte Ireland are hosting a briefing in the city today where the benefits of this sector of the tourism industry will be outlined.
Speaking to RedFM News Seamus Heaney of Cork Convention Bureau says a business delegate is worth two to three times that of a lesiure tourist:
