By 2040 Over Half Of All Morning Journeys In Cork Will Be By Sustainable Transport Modes
The draft Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy is being launched in Pairc Uí Chaoimh this morning
It's hoped a new east-west Light Rail line between Ballincollig and Mahon which is part of the strategy will provide a service to 60% of jobs in Cork which will be located withing walking distance of the tram stops.
Speaking to RedFM News at this morning's launch Deputy CEO of the National Transport Authority Hugh Creegan says it's possible to deliver the proposals under the time frame:
