Calls continue for better pay conditions for Defence Forces members

The wives and partners of the Defence Forces say the government has shown complete disrespect to its members of the Defence Forces

The group which is acting on behalf of Defence Forces members who are unable to protest mounted several demonstrations across the country including here in Cork calling for better pay and conditions for members.

It follows claims by the group that one in four enlisted personnel are on Family Income Supplement.

Lorriane O'Hare from Cork has been protesting with the group on behalf of her husband and speaking to RedFM News she says the pay doesn't reflect the work they do.
