Calls for a review of city parking
It follows a rejection of a car ban on a city centre street in recent months.
Fresh calls are being made for a review of parking systems in the city centre.
It comes after plans to ban cars from Patrick's street were rejected by Cork City Council members earlier this year over fears they may negatively impact on businesses.
Parking however still remains a contentious issue in the city centre with businesses saying parking costs and lack of availability are still some of the biggest challenges they face.
Speaking to RedFM News Paul Coffey of Perry St Market Café, who have been named Cork’s Friendliest Business, say the parking situation needs to be reviewed to adopt a more convenient atmosphere and keep customers in the city centre.
