Calls for a review of taxi arrangements ahead of future Páirc Uí Chaoimh concerts

Taxi drivers in Cork are calling for a review of taxi arrangements ahead of any other events in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Over 100,000 people attended Ed Sheeran's three gigs over the course of the bank holiday weekend however concern has been expressed that taxi arrangements were inadequate. 


The Cork branch of the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation says taxi drivers were unable to access Monaghan Rd which proved extremely difficult for dropping passengers off, and had a knock on effect across the city.

Speaking to RedFM News ITF Cork representative Derry Coughlan says there were a lot of complaints from passengers and many taxi drivers opted to take the nights off as it was too difficult to work:
