Calls For Law To Prevent Companies Installing Anti Homeless Devices

There are calls for new laws to be introduced to stop companies from installing anti-homeless devices outside their buildings.
Spikes, bars and water sprinklers are sometimes erected to deter rough sleepers.
The Solidarity Party is bringing forward legislation to try and stop this.
It comes as Waterways Ireland defends raising water levels at a bridge at the Royal Canal in Dublin to deter homeless people from sheltering there.
Solidarity TD Ruth Coppinger says it’s inhumane.
