Calls for Mandatory speed limits in all housing estates

All estates across Cork should have a speed limit of 30 km per hour, in order to protect children out at play.
That's according to Roseanne Brennan who has welcomed the city councils decision to reduce the speed limit from 50 km per hour to 30 in 70 estates across Cork City.
Roseanne's six year old son Jake died in her arms after being knocked down while playing outside near his home in Kilkenny in 2014.
Since then she has campaigned local authorites across the country to reduce the speed limit, and says she is delighted that Cork city council has decided to extend a pilot project that had introduced the 30km limit in four estates last year to seventy this year.
Speaking to RedFM News Roseanne Brennan says Jake's Legacy will ensure children can play outside safely in the future:
