Calls for more nurses and funding for suffers of Parkinson's Disease in Cork

Local man Ted Horgan who suffers from the disease is calling on the Government for more resources.
The Parkinson's Association of Ireland are mounting a protest outside Leinster House tomorrow over a lack of nurses and funding in the sector.
There are currently no Parkinson's Nurse specialist in Cork city or county with just five of these posts across the country serving 12,000 patients.
Meanwhile Parkinson patients must travel abroad for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.
The only service available in Cork for Ted is with a consultant neurologist and he is now waiting nine months for his next review.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ted Horgan says is frustrating to be waiting for a consultant.
