Calls For Operation Freeflow To Be Implemented In Cork
It comes amid recent concerns about the increase in traffic on Cork roads
Traffic volumes between the Jack Lynch tunnel and the Mahon junction have increased to over 67,000, the Dunkettle Interchange has seen daily volumes rise to 55,000 cars per day and on the South Ring Road between Ballinora and Curraheen a daily rise of almost 4,000 cars per day has been recorded.
Traffic volumes in and out of the city at the N20 have risen and increases have also been recorded at the N22 at Poulavone and between Ballincollig and Ovens.
Cork Labour Representative Peter Horgan has been telling RedFM News how Operation Freeflow would work:
