Calls for retail strategy for North Main Street
Calls are being made for a retail strategy to be put in place to support local business and attract visitors into the city centre. It comes after the closures of two prominent businesses on North Main St sparked fears about the decline of city centre trade. Roman House which had been trading for almost 60 years shut its doors last week and Maher’s Sport outlet nearby also announced the closure of their North Main Street branch.
