Calls for traffic management to ease difficulties of Clontarf bridge closure

Traders in the city have hit out at the closure of Clontarf Bridge saying its negatively affecting footfall.
The Cork Business Association says they have already lobbied the traffic corp to increase garda presence at busy times to direct traffic but currently there are no plans to do so.
They say the closure has caused difficulty for consumers in accessing the city as well as long delays at peak times.
The bridge is set to remain closed until Sunday August 30th while it undergoes €2.5 million worth of rehabilitation works.
Speaking to RedFM News Chief Executive of the Cork Business Association Lawrence Owens says extra Gardaí on the Quays would help the situation:
