Calls Have Been Made For Policy To Replicate Success Of Skibbereen's Ludgate Hub

Calls have been made for a 'National Cluster Policy' to replicate the success of Skibbereen's Ludgate Hub.

Cork Chamber say the West Cork facility which is Ireland's first rural digital hub is proof that business can thrive regardless of location.

 

The Ludgate Hub brought 1GB of connectivity to Skibbereen and to date over 100 direct jobs have been created as a result.

 

It's hoped 1,000 indirect jobs will be created in the West Cork area by 2020.

 

Speaking to RedFM News CEO of the Ludgate Hub, Adrienne Harrington says they've recently carried out some internal renovations due to demand and intertest from companies:
