Calls to traffic concerns to be addressed in Little Island
The motion is due before Cork County Council.
Calls are being made for Cork County Council to tackling traffic congestion in Little Island.
A motion is due before the council today calling for the creation and implementation of a master plan to address the problem in the area.
There are more than 1,000 businesses as well as 2,000 residents in the region which they say is leading to up to 45 minute delays at peak times.
A lack of traffic management and inadequate road infrastructure are some of the reasons being cited for the congestion.
Speaking to RedFM News, Chairman of the Little Island Business Association Michael Mulcahy says they need better road infrastructure in the area to support further job growth.
