Cannabis Growhouse Found In North Cork

Gardai will begin questioning a 28 year old Polish man today, following the discovery of a cannabis growhouse with €30,000 worth of drugs in North Cork last night. The man was arrested when members of the Fermoy District Drugs Squad searched a house in Ballyhooley village at around 8.30pm and found a growhouse operation. The man was arrested under drug trafficking legistation which allows gardai hold suspects for up to seven days and taken to Fermoy Garda Station for questioning. The drugs - which garda believe were destined for the local market- will be sent to the State Laboratory in Abbottstown for analysis to establish their potency.
