131 drivers have been caught speeding so far today.
Gardai and GoSafe have checked the speed of over 55-thousand vehicles since 7am.
The 24 hour initiative aims to remind drivers of the dangers of speeding, increase compliance with speed limits and act as a deterrent to driving at excessive speed.
