Catholic Church could ban photographs during some religious ceremonies

It's part of the 'Safeguarding Standards' guidelines.
There's been a strong reaction to the news that parents may be banned from taking photos of their children at Communion and Confirmation ceremonies.
Each diocese in Ireland has been directed to have specific guidelines governing the photography of children while they are on church grounds.
The rules derive from the 'Safeguarding Standards' guidelines, introduced by the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church, established in response to the clerical abuse scandals.
Laura Haugh from Mummypages.ie told the Neil Prendeville Show that she cannot understand why this policy is being introduced.
