An Bord Pleanala is making a laughing stock of the planning process.

That's according to the Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment following news that the decision on a proposed €160 million euro incinerator for Ringaskiddy,has been deferred for a fourth time.

An Bord Pleanala have requested further information from the applicant Indaver Ireland, one year on from the submission of the application, 10 months after the oral hearing and 8 months after the statutory deadline.

CHASE say this delay has given Indaver an unfair advantage by allowing them to correct their application, while the community were not given any extension to thoroughly examine the original plans.
