Childcare professionals call for Government investment

Parents are being warned they could be hit in the pocket if the government doesn't invest in the early years sector.
That's according to the Association of Childhood Professionals who say that it's becoming increasingly difficult to attract people to the profession as the wages are too low.
Childcare workers, including five busloads from Cork, will protest outside the Dáil from 2pm, calling on the government to take action.
Speaking to RedFM News chairperson of the ACP Marion Quinn says because the services need to be of a high quality staff are effectively fronting the cost through low wages as the government aren't investing in the sector and parents don't have anymore to give:
