Children in Cork on extensive waiting list for mental health service

A Cork TD says there's a huge crisis for children in the Cork and Kerry region waiting to be seen by a mental health service.
Fianna Fail TD Michael Moynihan is calling on the Government to put more resources into the sector.
Figures reveal 800 children in the region are waiting to be seen by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service with 120 of those waiting more than 18 months for an appointment.
Recruitment issues is one of the contributing factors in the extensive waiting lists with nearly 600 positions needed to be filled for a full community CAMHS service.
Speaking to RedFM News, Fianna Fail TD Michael Moynihan says staff can be sought if the Government introduce adequate remuneration packages:
