Children As Young As Five Years-Old Availing Of Pieta House Services
It's been confirmed to RedFM News children as young as five are accessing the services of Pieta House.
The suicide prevention charity says mental health issues are becoming very prominent among children and adolescents.
The charity have now opened a new children and adolescent therapy room in their new premises in Shanakiel.
Suicide prevention charity Lisheens House in West Cork also reported the same trend to RedFM News and say social media has become the elephant in the room for teenagers.
Speaking to RedFM News Clinical Manger of Pieta House Sylvia O'Driscoll Wong says social media has created a whole new set of issues for teenagers:
