City Council Expect Homes Impacted By Burst Water Pipe Will Have Full Supply Restored Shortly

Almost 19,000 homes and businesses were hit when a large water main burst and flooded parts of the Watercourse road at lunchtime. 

Irish Water and the Council say they have successfully diverted water supply around the leak to ensure supply this evening. 

Council cleansing crews remain at the scene while Cathedral road and Gerald Griffin Street remain closed. 

Full supply is expected to be restores in the next hour or so.
