City Hall Needs To Do More For People Who Want To Buy Their Own Home
That's according to Cllr Sean Martin who says some people in the City are finding it very difficult to get a foot on the property ladder.
He's urging the local authority to issue a Compulsory Purchase Order for the site of the former Vita Cotex factory in Ballyphehane so the site can be used for affordable housing.
The call follows concern from locals who say the site is an eyesore and could fall into disrepair or become a target for vandals if action is not taken.
