City Hall: Little appetite for Cork Harbour Water Taxi

City Hall have responded to calls for the inclusion of water taxis in Cork Harbour in the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy and say there hasn't been a great deal of interest from businesses in the development of such a service.
However The Echo reports that a private company is developing a business plan for a seasonal tourist type attraction, however no discussion has been held with local authorities on routes or schedules.
The plan which was launched earlier this year was criticised for excluding the use of Cork Harbour as a means of transport however City Council say there is a provision in the CMATS document which references the possibility of holding discussions about it.
