Officials say the beams should have been able to support a weight of almost two tonnes

The Mayor of Berkeley says he believes ‘more than one person or company’ will be deemed to have been at fault in the balcony collapse tragedy.

It comes a day after an interim report found that severe dry rot weakened the wooden supports of the balcony which gave way, killing 6 Irish students.

Meanwhile, funerals will be held today for two more victims.

Friends and relatives of Niccolai Schuster and Olivia Burke will gather in Rathgar and Foxrock in Dublin for masses at 11 o'clock.

Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates says it will take some time to find out who’s to blame for their deaths.
