Clonakilty businesses bounce back this Summer following flooding in recent years

Flood relief system will be put in place in Clonakilty next year
Business owners at the town of Clonakilty say they're looking forward to a bumper Summer after the re-opening of the town centre which now boasts an enhanced streetscape which should benefit business, locals and visitors.
The town is getting back on it's feet after €2.4 million was pumped into extensive drainage works over the past 18 months.
Work is also due to start next summer on an urgently needed flood relief system as the West Cork town has been badly hit by flooding in recent years and left under water a number of times.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM local trader Kevin O'Regan from Fushia Footwear says these latest drainage works have helped people sleep easy when the heavy rain comes.
