Cobh Community Hospital Found Non-Compliant In HIQA Inspection

A lack of cleanliness, threat of infection and inadequate fire precautions are just some of the findings from the unannounced inspection
The hospital has been found non-compliant in maintaining minimum standards across 14 areas.
It provides 24 hour nursing care to the people of Cobh and the surrounding area is experiencing funding difficulties and is under threat of closure.
Nighttime staffing at the 44 resident capacity hospital was found to be inadequate while training of staff was found to be incomplete.
