Commemorations Underway In Cork For Armistice Day
A Service of Commemoration to mark the end of the war will take place at 3.30pm in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral
Commemorations are now underway in Cork for Armistice day.
At St Fin Barre’s Cathedral in Cork, on each of the four minutes (one for each year of the first World War) before 11am a bell has been rung once and silence kept.

Meanwhile President Michael D Higgins is at the State Commemoration Ceremony in Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin
He says the manner in which the country remembers those who served, and those who died, has changed:
