Concern for autistic teen's confidence after alleged attack

Concern has been expressed that the confidence of an autistic boy may have been shattered after he was attacked in Carrigaline at the weekend. It's been claimed that a number of teens assaulted the 14 year old boy forcing him to eat twigs and expose himself. It's believed that up to 5 teenagers were involved in the incident, the footage of which was subsequently posted on Facebook. Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Karen O’Mahony of the Masquerade Ball, a fundraising and awareness group for families living with autism, says it will take some time before his parents will be able to trust people around him again.
