Concern Over High Number Of Workplace Fatalities In Cork
Cork has recorded the highest number of workplace fatalities over the last four years. The Health and Safety Authority is expressing serious concern at the high number of workplace deaths in Cork which last year saw 12 people die in work related accidents - which is an increase on figures from the previous year. The HSA says the fatality rate in Cork has been consistently higher compared to any other county for the last number of years and as a result they plan to carry out additional inspections across the county this year.
