Concern over possible gun activity in the Lee Valley
Anglers in the Lee Valley have expressed concern after the body of a heron was recovered after it had been reportedly shot dead. The bird had lived near the golf course at Macroom for years and his body was found by a local man who was out walking. The possibility of gun activity in the area has sparked fears for the safety of children. Pat Murphy who lives locally contacted the Neil Prendeville Show and described where the bird was found.
