Concerns expressed that Cork charity cannot meet demand

It's being reported that new clients to St. Vincent de Paul are being told to return after the summer.

Fears have been expressed that St Vincent de Paul is struggling to meet demand for its service in Cork.

It's understood the charity is cutting into their reserves to meet demand and it's also been reported that new clients are being told to return to avail of their services after the Summer.

The government is now being called on to step in and ensure the charity is able to continue operating  Leeside.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Cllr Mick Finn says it will be a worry for people who are struggling with back to school costs.
