Concerns raised about facilities at CUH for Kinsale teen

It follows a fall from a roof suffered by the 18-year-old last month.
The family of a teen who suffered several spinal injuries following a fall in Kinsale last month have raised concerns about the lack of specialised facilities at Cork University Hospital.
18 year old Ciara O’Brien broke her back when she fell 8 feet off a flat roof at the side of The Moorings nightclub, where she was attending a party.
She was rushed to CUH and then transferred to the National Spinal Injuries Unit in Dublin's Mater Hospital where she was diagnosed as a paraplegic.
Yesterday Ciara was moved back to CUH but her family were shocked that there was no wheelchair or shower facilities available for her when she arrived..
Her aunt Maria O'Mahony says Ciara's situation has improved today as she has been moved to a single ward and has use of a wheelchair.
However speaking to RedFM News Maria admits that she's still worried about her recovery process.
