Concerns raised over social media and eating disorders
This week it Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
It's feared that social media may be one of the driving factors in the development of an eating disorder.
Cork's Eating Disorder Clinic says they're particularly concerned about the influences it's having on teenagers.
There's been a 13% increase in calls from 15-18 year olds seeking help for the illness.
Speaking to RedFM News clinic manager at Eating Disorder Centre Cork Trish Shiels says social media can be a trigger for many teenager girls in particular.
