Confidence former Capitol Cinema site redevelopment will go ahead

It follows a planning appeal against planning permission for the redevelopment.
Traders in the English Market says they are confident the re-development of the former Capitol Cinema site in the city will go ahead despite a planning appeal.
Work was due to begin in the coming weeks to demolish the cinema on Grand Parade however an appeal has been lodged to the City Council's decision to grant permission for the new retail and office development.
The appeal to An Bord Pleanála will lead to a delay of up to four months but the developer is hopeful that construction work will start early next year.
Fishmonger at the English Market Pat O'Connell told the Neil Prendeville Show that they welcome the new development and are not fearful of it, as they offer a unique shopping experience to customers.
