Cork Air passengers could benefit from low cost flights

The Cost of flights from Cork to the US will drop significantly if the new Cork to Boston route is given the go ahead.
Passengers are set to enjoy low cost transatlantic flights from Norwegian Air International who work along the same model as Ryan Air.
According to Virgin Atlantic, NAI will be a serious threat to their business offering customers reduced rates on the route.
The US Department of Transportation has yet to issue a licence to NAI following fears that the airline will use cheap labour from Aisa, a claim the airline denies.
A final decision on the issue is due on the 6th of July, and it's hoped the ariline will introduce a new Cork to New York route once Cork Boston is up and running.
Speaking to RedFM news Cork North Central TD Dara Murphy says the granting of the licence will be beneficial for passengers in Ireland and across Europe:
