Cork Based Charity supporting Victims of Crime struggling to meet demand.

A Cork based charity which provides support to victims of crime throughout Munster is calling on the government to increase funding for the service.
Support After Crime Services, which is now in it's tenth year, receives €116,000 to help victims however its director says the funding isn't adequate with an average of 1,500 people using the service.
Newly enacted legislation will allow victim impact statements to be heard in the district court and as a result it's feared demand for the service will further increase.
The charity is also calling for public support to ensure that the service can keep it's doors open.
Speaking to RedFM News director Sally Hanlon says a review is due in 2016 but keeping the service running until then will be difficult:
