Cork Better Building Awards winners announced

They were announced at a ceremony in the city this lunchtime.
The winners for this year's Cork Better Building Awards have been unveiled.
The Quadrangle in UCC, UCC South Mall, Elbow Lane, Callanans on Georges Quay, Cork English College, the Ambassador Hotel and the Rising Sons Brewery all scooped awards in their categories.
The awards honour the best-designed and best-kept buildings in the city in a bid to reward businesses for their efforts to enhance the city’s appearance and profile.
Salingers of Winthrop St scooped the award in the retail category and speaking to RedFM News owner of the store Wayne Greene-Salm says it's a great boost ahead of the festive season.
