Cork broadband speed to increase up to 10 times faster

Businesses and homeowners in Cork can look forward to broadband speeds that will be up to ten times faster than what is currently available. Cork has been selected as one of the places in Ireland to benefit from a joint venture between Vodafone and ESB which promises direct high speed fibre connectivity. Speeds of to up 1 GB will be available once fibre access is rolled out to consumers directly. It's believed the increased broadband speeds will enhance Cork's attractiveness as a place to do business. Speaking to RedFM News CEO of Vodafone Ann O'Leary says this plan is unlike anything else being offered to Cork consumers at the moment: Click PLAY to hear audio
