Cork city council refuses planning permission for a planned Traveller horse grazing

The Cork Traveller Visibility group applied for permission for a facility at Leemount

They're requesting to graze 20 horses on the 14 hectare site located across from the Anglers Rest, on behalf of the Horse Initiative Steering Group.

The Evening Echo reports that the proposal was met with significant opposition from residents and Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

The TII says the site is under consideration as a route for the planned Northern Ring Road, which would be adversely affected if planning had been granted.
