Cork City Council To Take Over Management Of Development Of Controversial Cork Events Centre

The Taoiseach re-iterated the government's commitment to the centre at Fine Gael's Think-In in Garryvoe in the last half hour
The project hit a major stumbling block when €9 million of a government funding package was classified as a repayable loan, however BAM, Live Nation, the Council and the Government have now agreed on terms for the package.
The money, which was to come from a number of government departments will now be processed through the department of Housing, planning and local government.
Speaking to RedFM News in the past half hour, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says the development process has been greatly streamlined as a result of the move:
