Cork City Hall To Turn Purple This Weekend

The move is to raise awareness of a rare condition known as CDLS
Cork City Hall is going purple this weekend to raise awareness of a rare condition known as CDLS.
Only 24 people in Ireland are known to have the condition, symptoms of which include a very small head, hearing problems, digestive problems and challenging behaviours.
CdLS International Awareness Day is this Saturday and it's hoped the campaign will help to raise awareness of the condition and provide support for parents whose children have been diagnosed with the condition.
Glanmire woman Eleanor O'Kelly-Lynch is heading up the campaign.
Her daughter Lauren was diagnosed with the condition 25 years ago and speaking to RedFM News she says it can be tough for the whole family as Lauren's mood has changed since she became older:
And if you would like to donate you can text FRIEND to 50300 to donate €4. CDLS will get a minimum of €3.25 from each donation.
