Cork City Says Last Night's Trial Soccer Match Was Fantastic Occasion

Their SSE Airtricity First Division game against Cabinteely at Turners Cross was among three trial events that took place

The others were Shamrock Rovers's clash with Finn Harps at Tallaght Stadium - and Leinster's rugby match against the Dragons at the RDS.

Almost 600 fans were allowed attend the Cork City game, and the club's chair Declan Carey says it was a great success:

"The occasion was fantastic, and it was great to see so many faces inside the ground. Everyone was spread out. It was... everything was conducted very safely and couldn't have gone off any better."
