Cork Company Helps To Build Revolutionary New Wave Turbine

The turbine was developed by Cobh based company Ocean Energy in co--operation with US company Vigor

The Irish Examiner reports that the three story tall turbine named OE 35 Buoy will be the first in the world to provide electricity to a country’s national grid when it is connected up to the Hawaiian electricity grid.

This is a global first for a device of its type and to date no other wave energy system can claim this kind of success in the area.
