Cork councillor calls for improved infrastructure in Blackpool
A Cork councillor, who is recovering from a double mastectomy, says she's ready to return to work in City Hall.
Solidarity Cllr Fiona Ryan opted to have a double mastectomy after testing positive for a gene mutation which increases her chances of developing cancer at a young age.
The 31-year-old chose to have preventative surgery and follows the likes of Hollywood celebrity Angelina Jolie who also chose the same course of action after testing positive for this gene mutation.
Cllr Fiona Ryan says she'll be focusing a number of key issues on her return to work and she told RedFM News that enhancing infrastructure in Blackpool is top of her agenda:
